Astrid's sketchbook glimpse
This is one of my first sketches I did for the picture book contest I was working on this past month der-meefisch.de (I mentioned that contest in an earlier post). It's done and submitted! Phew, that was way more work thank I expected, even if I did "just" the dummy and 3 finalized artworks, and the text was done by someone else. Wow. But it was a great experience, and I definitely learned a lot - at the very least how much time it takes, lol. Here, I'm just posting one of the first sketches. I was going to say that the elephant is definitely awesome...but I'm switching my comment to the camel. That is an amazing camel.
Wow these are great and the finished color art is amazing. You really have a sense of perspective and I love the angles you use. Your works is very sophisticated, too Astrid. Fabulous work!
