Quite bizarre, don't you think? This was done at my art teacher conference on Friday while listening to a session about contour line. I think I may do a project like this with my Art One kids. Its just weird.
I think you should. I really liked doing contour drawings in school, but would get so BORED with the same old life drawing contour assignment. I love all of the details in some of the character's faces. (the braces are killing me!) So neat-o!
What's contour drawings? Is that where you never pick up your pencil? If so, this is really amazing. Each character is wonderful on it's own and together it makes a cool impact.
Very cool! Is that a bare bum I see off to the right - is someone mooning me??? Hahaha, your characters have some great expressions. I especially like the guy with the hat and humongous sideburns (lower right) and the girl off to the outer left edge.
Rebecca, your Black & White work is exceptionally strong - have you considered doing illustrations for middle grade/chapter novels. Your style is perfect!!!?
