Tea Time

Brainstorming doodle for a story I've written. I've never done anything with it because I like the line quality and feel of it and I'm afraid if I try to paint it, I will lose something in the translation. I'll post the manuscript as soon as I can so you can see what happens to Traci and her pig!

Happy Thankgiving all!
Eat turkey and be merry!

yay! Story time! I always feel a tiny bit of dread when I go to paint my sketches, too. So often that magical quality that makes me love a sketch gets lost when paint is applied.

(re:drawing people- I need to quit making declarative statements like that, b/c then I turn around and do whatever it was I said I couldn't! haha!)

I agree about the loss of magic when converting linework/sketches to painted material — but it is nice to have them as a collection and look back on. I think pencil has a wonderful texture that you just can't duplicate with another medium. This looks lovely - I can't wait to see the whole dummy Frizz! Your characters are just so darned cute!!!!
