Courtney grew up all around Texas. She eventually landed in Austin to attend the University of Texas. There, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, met her husband and had her daughter. She then moved to the east coast where she now paints, teaches, loves the fall season and misses tex-mex.

She is currently working as a freelance artist taking commissions from the public, teaching art and geography in an after school elementary program and pursuing a career in children’s books.
