Johanna Wright was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon in the shadow of some very big and beautiful trees. She received her BA from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA (1998), in puppetry, and children’s books, and moved to Brooklyn shortly after graduation.

Johanna spent many years in New York, selling her paintings on the streets of Manhattan. During this time on the sidewalk, she honed her illustration skills, ate way too many hot dogs, sold thousands of original paintings, and appeared in numerous magazines and publications.

These days Johanna lives in Portland, Oregon where she spends most of her days painting and searching for Sasquatch.
