Rebecca Field has spent her entire life in Virginia except for one year when she attempted to live in a neighboring state. She graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1995 with a double major in Fine Art and English, and received her Masters degree in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. Rebecca teaches art and art history at a high school, a job that allows her to spend her days creating, laughing, and shaking her head in pure fascination (and sometimes frustration). She is the mother of two little girls whose energy certainly adds to her lack of sleep, but also gives her plenty of material for her artwork. When not inspiring teenagers or pre-schoolers, Rebecca spends her time as an illustrator. Her colorful mixed-media illustrations are filled with characters, both heroic and quiet, that always remain silly, gentle, and sweet.
